Jane Benefield

Jane started her career working in commercial flower shops where she honed her technical and design skills. As a competitor she was successful in winning many accolades in professional floristry including:

• Chelsea gold medal 
• Interflora florist of the year 
• Four medals in the Fusion International Designer Competition 

She is now floristry course manager at Warwickshire College, Moreton Morrell Centre where she lectures in floristry from levels 2 up to level 5 Master Diploma. Jane enjoys sharing her floristry knowledge. Through teaching and mentoring students she enables them to reach their maximum potential whilst keeping floristry standards at a high level of professionalism. In 2015 she was delighted to win the BFA Floristry Tutor of The Year.

Jane is passionate about competition work and endeavours to keep current, particularly in International design. In 2016 she was delighted to be assistant to UK competitor in The Europa Cup.

In 2018 Jane achieved her judges qualification and considers it an honour and privilege to judge floristry competitions.
