Frances Fenwick

Frances was awarded the Society of Floristry Diploma (NDSF) and Cert Ed in 1999.  She taught for many years at Capel Manor College and has also owned a corporate, wedding and event business in the Cotswolds. 

Frances joined The Society of Floristry’s Judges Training Programme in 2002 and qualified as a National Judge in 2004.  She has extensive judging experience.  The early part of her career saw her judging at Society of Floristry competitions, Spring Florist Event, The Harrogate Flower Show, The Flowers & Plants Association and Finals for Flowergram. 

Her judging career since 2010 has encompassed RHS Chelsea, RHS Hampton Court, RHS Tatton Park, Chelsea  In Bloom and Belgravia In Bloom, UK and World Skills Heats, Final and Team Selection.  Other prestigious Competitions include the Finals of Interflora ‘Florist of the Year’,  BFA ‘Florist of the Year', the annual College Competition at Covent Garden Nine Elms and 'Fleurs de Villes' at Covent Garden in central London.

Frances joined the UK Floristry Judges Guild in 2009 and has contributed to the behind the scenes administration of the Guild as Assignment Officer for four years followed by the office of Vice Chair for three years.  She took on the role of Chair of the UK Floristry Judges Guild in 2016 completing her 3 year term of office in the Spring of 2019.  During her time as Chair the Guild ran a training programme leading to the recruitment of 3 new judges to the Guild.  

She is a Mixed Panel Judge for the RHS and has sat on the RHS Floristry Committee which is responsible for advising the RHS with creative input on competition themes, managing Q&A for competitors, reviewing and updating rules and regulations for floristry competitions held at RHS events.
